Live Fire Cooking Weekend Workshops

Nettles Farm will hold 3 live fire workshops in 2022 using the particular methods taught by Argentine Chef Francis Mallmann. We will set a menu, which can be changed by collaboration a few weeks before each event. Most of the recipes will come from Mallmann’s book, 7 Fires, but we will also be learning from his recent cooking series on Yes Chef! 

Each workshop will begin Friday evening with an overview of the menu and the distribution of duties for the next day. All ingredients will be provided for breakfast and dinner which will be at 10 am and 6 pm respectively. We will be cooking with the chapa, parilla, and the fire dome. In the event of a total burn ban we will still be able to use mesquite charcoal.

The cost for this workshop is $150 per person, 12 and older, in addition to lodging.

Note: We will observe Covid 19 protocols for the event by requiring vaccinations and booster shots for all participants, or 2 consecutive daily negative rapid tests. Most of our activities will be done outside.
